Job Purpose Summary

We are looking to recruit new staff on an occasional basis for Manchester and London operations to work within the sport & media industry, providing services to television broadcasters and major sporting federations, in a live TV environment. The successful applicant will have the chance to have exposure to the UEFA Champions League Football, and potentially domestic English football with a leading broadcaster.

Event operators will be required to work across varying positions for deltatre working with a leading sports broadcaster. These positions will be primarily focused around data management and data collection on a match night. Event Operators will be required to be client facing and build good relationships with the client across a range roles and responsibilities. Training will be provided on all technologies before the start of an operational role. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be available for work during weekends and evenings.

The successful applicant must be flexible, prepared to work occasional long hours and have a high standard of sporting and football knowledge, specifically relating to European competitions and the teams, players and rules involved.

    Selected candidates will be required to commit to an assessment day at Wimbledon offices in July/August, and confirm their availability, if selected, for the following events in 2017. Exact working dates are subject to UEFA draws:

    • Play-off (1st Leg) - w/c 14th August
    • Play-off (2nd Leg) - w/c 21st August
    • Group Stage MD1 - w/c 11th September
    • Group Stage MD2 - w/c 25th September
    • Group Stage MD3 - w/c 16th October
    • Group Stage MD4 - w/c 30th October
    • Group Stage MD5 - w/c 20th November
    • Group Stage MD6 - w/c 4th December

        • Communication Skills: Ability to confidently communicate with stakeholders and existing/potential clients
        • Organisational and Time Management Skills: Excellent organisational skills to manage own work and schedule as well as others
        • Technical knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of the products and services within the projects you are working
        • Quality Control: Strong focus on quality of output
        • Working under pressure: Have ability to work well under pressure of a live TV environment
        • Attention to detail: Have keen attention to detail for graphics operations
        • Experience: Excellent football and other sporting knowledge (essential)
